Latest School Update

Places are still available for full-time masters programmes for study in 2017-18 ‘please click here for details’. However, due to changing student demand, we have regretfully stopped recruitment to undergraduate degree programmes currently offered by SMFA.

Our new Centre for Music and Audio Technology is launching in 2018 and will house our new undergraduate programmes in music with courses designed to meet the expectations of today’s music industry. We will offer initially offer three undergraduate programmes focusing on music technology; the music industry; and creative music production and performance, all for entry in 2018. To find out more, see www.kent.ac.uk/cmat/courses/

Our staff and students produce work that is of the highest standard and our academic quality is among the best in the sector. The University has guaranteed that all current students on existing programmes will be taught and supervised until the completion of their studies. We will continue to work with our external partners, arts organisations and industry professionals who make a valuable contribution to our current activities and with whom we will liaise to develop our future portfolio.
