Students can prepare for their time studying abroad by attending any of the following classes, courses, and drop-in sessions.
Choose from Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin or Spanish.
🎓Immersion Modules
- Take an Immersion module for credits, as non-contributory, or just attend the class informally
- Immersion 1 (Beginners) classes are held in the Autumn term, Immersion 2 (Intermediate) in the Spring term, and Immersion 3 (Advanced) in the Summer term
- Want to take a Language module? Express your interest here
🏋️Language Gym
- Attend Gym Classes for workshops on specific linguistic challenges and for extra practice
- Use our bespoke online resources on Moodle to practice and build confidence
- BA Modern Languages and Year In a Language students will receive one-to-one guidance from a Language Mentor
🌏Language Express
- Join a Language Express beginners course for 16 sessions across the Autumn and Spring terms
- Classes are held on a Tuesday evening 6-7:30pm
- Join us on 20 October 2025 @6pm in the Cornwallis North-West Foyer for your first lesson. Sign up here
