Alumni Summer School
Three action-packed days in July for you to return and learn for free! Come in person or join us online.
As a member of our valued alumni community, we like to give you the opportunity to return to Kent Business School to reconnect and join the latest discussions around current business issues that are impacting you and your organisations. The award-winning programme (a series of 'How to ...' and 'How do ...' workshops) is designed to be flexible around your work commitments and you can join us for as many workshops as you like.
The workshops all take place during the first week of July. Each is designed for all alumni (undergrad, postgrad, MBA). Each one truly hybrid, allowing attendees to join us from anywhere in the world. You are welcome to join us for all workshops regardless of which course you studied.
We also plan in some social time to reconnect with your former classmates or make new acquaintances from different cohorts or courses. There are quiet spaces available if you need to check emails or take calls. Round it all off by staying for networking drinks at the end of the day.
The series of eight workshops are usually delivered during the first week of July, followed by networking drinks. The 2026 programme will be posted nearer the time. Take a look at the topics covered in 2025 below.
Our innovative Alumni Summer School has been awarded Best Lifelong Learning Initiative 2025 by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the Business Graduates Association (BGA).
The award showcases the impact and success of lifelong learning initiatives and their transformative effect not only on students and alumni but also on the business school itself. In particular it celebrates initiatives that have addressed skills gaps in both local and global markets.
Each two-hour workshop will be hosted by a resident KBS expert, visiting academic, local business, or an alumni expert who will share their latest research and/or knowledge on a subject of interest in the current business climate. As always with Kent Business School, this should provoke a sharing of views and experiences from the audience. We have designed the workshops to give you an insight into ‘how to’ apply each subject to your business environment right now.
