- Hooman Talebi
Hooman Talebi is an architectural designer, educator, and Founder of MARZ Design+Architecture, a creative practice deeply rooted in the fusion of design and culture, crafting architecture across diverse scales, dimensions, and economies.
Hooman, with a track record of conducting workshops nationally and internationally, currently serves as a Lecturer at the University of Kent, where he directs the Spatial and Interior Design (SPIN) programme. His impactful journey includes serving as the Academic Director at CAA in Iran from 2016 to 2019, pivotal in transforming the institution into a thriving cultural and intellectual centre for architecture in his home country.
Alongside this, he holds the role of Creative Director at ArchiKID-World, a pioneering global educational platform for children based in Canada, which leverages architecture and the built environment to foster imaginative thinking. Hooman actively contributes to ArchiKID's collaboration with UN-Habitat within the WORLD URBAN PAVILION Initiative program, dedicated to developing strategic planning and curricula focused on "Kids Awareness of Urban SDGs." Throughout his career, Hooman has been recognised for his collaborations with notable professionals like Bahram Shirdel, Homa Farjadi, and Zaha Hadid Architects, where he played a substantial role in shaping and executing fourteen diverse and progressive global projects. His significant contributions include the design and realisation of the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, celebrated as the world's largest asymmetrical free-form structure.
Hooman holds an MS in Architectural Engineering from Azad University, Iran, and a Master of Architecture and Urbanism degree from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London.
