COVID-19 Safety

We highly recommend you ‘Plan Your Journey’ as soon as you know you will be travelling by reading all advice given by travel providers and the Government's rules and guidance.

Government Update:

From Thursday 27 January 2022

There is no longer a legal requirement to wear a face covering in England. The government suggests that you continue to wear a face covering in crowded and enclosed spaces where you may come into contact with other people you do not normally meet.

Operators are free to set their own requirements for wearing face coverings and you should check with the operator of the service you are using before travelling.

Note: Many transport operators in Kent are still operating the guidance to wear face coverings when using their service and within crowded areas. Plan and CHECK with the provider you wish to travel with, respect the transport staff and follow their instructions.

For more information read the Government guidance.

University Update:

From Thursday 27 January 2022

  • Kent’s Campus Shuttle service - we advise you to wear a face covering throughout your journey, unless you have a medical exemption.

For more University information visit the Coronavirus page.

Face coverings are available free of charge from any student reception desk.

Check Government guidance and rules about what you need to do or be aware of before you travel to your destination, including for any return journey.

Do not travel if you have COVID-19 symptoms or are self-isolating. Get a test and follow the stay at home guidance.
