Lucy graduated from her first degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences at Staffordshire University in 2000. She then gained a running scholarship at Tennessee Technological University, USA where she also completed her Master’s Degree in Heath and Physical Education in 2002. Following this, she gained industry experience in the Staffordshire GP Exercise referral scheme before joining Staffordshire University as a teaching and research assistant.

Lucy joined the SSES University of Kent in September 2004 as a Lecturer in Sport Science. She has worked with amateur and elite athletes from a range of sports including Middle Distance Running, Triathlon, Cycling, Sailing and Football

Research interests

Lucy is currently working towards her PHD on Nutrition and Exercise performance which examines the effect of omega 3 supplementation on cycling performance.
