This dynamic and practice-oriented training offers a tailored introduction to the principles and tools of conflict analysis, resolution, and interpersonal mediation—adapted to the real-world needs of professionals across sectors. Whether you are managing workplace dynamics, supporting frontline staff, navigating educational tensions, or handling service user disputes, this course is designed to respond to the challenges of your particular line of work.
Our course is developed by Dr Giuseppe Maglione, Director of the University of Kent's Restorative Justice Clinic, and a team of experts with two decades of applied experience as restorative justice practitioners and trainers. Its aim is to help participants develop practical strategies for navigating complex conflicts. Participants will explore how to assess conflict, harm and risk, identify stakeholders' underlying needs, manage strong emotions in dialogue, and support sustainable resolution processes.
Content, case studies and role-play scenarios can be tailored to specific professional environments including the NHS, education, criminal justice (e.g. police forces), social care and organisational leadership. This expert-led, bespoke course moves beyond generic models and equips you with skills that are meaningful in your day-to-day context.
