You can check in anytime after 15:00 at the relevant reception. Please note, if you are checking in outside of reception hours, you can call Campus Security on +44 (0) 1227 823300 and they will check you in.
Please check out of your room by 11:00 on your day of departure, this includes handing your key or fob into reception. Late check out is not available therefore anyone checking out late will be charged an additional fee. (Between 11:00 and midday it's £10, after midday you will be charged another full night's stay.)
There is an reception located in each of our accommodation blocks, however their opening times will vary depending on the time of year.
If you are staying in Tyler Court or Keynes College, please report to the reception within the accommodation block. If you are staying in Beverley Farmhouse or Becket Court, please report to the Keynes College reception to collect your room keys.

We have a wide variety of accommodation on our campus and what's included varies depending on the accommodation you have booked. All of our rooms include towels, bed linen and complimentary toiletries.
Our guest B&B accommodation are all en-suite rooms and include tea and coffee making facilities and breakfast at a nearby catering outlet. Breakfast is served between 08:00 - 10:00 in either Dolche Vita or the Gulbenkian Café. You will receive a token when you check in, the colour will determine where you can redeem your complimentary breakfast. (Black - Gulbenkian Café, Blue - Dolche Vita in Keynes College)
Our guest self-catered accommodation are either en-suite or shared facilities rooms. You may need to share bathroom and kitchen facilities if you have picked a self-catered room.
Free guest and eduroam wi-fi is available in all of our accommodation rooms and across our whole campus for you to use.
To login to the wi-fi, select 'Wi-Fi Guest' from the network list and follow the on-screen instructions to set up a free account.
We understand that accidents can happen and you may lose your room key or fob during your stay with us. In the result of this happening, please visit the relevant reception for your accommodation and they will sort you out a replacement key/fob. There will be a charge billed to you for the replacement, £10 for a fob and £35 for a key.
We hope you enjoy a healthy stay with us, however, if you start to feel unwell then we ask you to please stay in your bedroom and let us know by emailing stay@kent.ac.uk (or calling your reception during opening hours) and a member of the relevant team will be able to further assist you.

All our rooms are non-smoking. However, please be aware that we conduct weekly fire alarm testing at the following times:

Everything on site is within a 15 minute walk. There is lots to see and do in Canterbury and our campus is well connected via public transport.

Free parking is available across our campus for the duration of your stay. Just collect your display permit from your relevant reception and pop it on display in your front window.
There are a range of EV charging points that are only a short drive away from our Canterbury campus. You can use the Charge Finder or Zap-Map websites to find a charger of your preference that's located nearby. Some drivers will have a preferred app/s that they use to redeem discounted charging rates at specific locations.
Our campus is well connect to the city of Canterbury and beyond via regular public transport links. The city centre can be easily reached by foot with a 25 minute stroll with spectacular views of Canterbury Cathedral.
Southeastern operates train services across the country and it's high speed service will get you from London St Pancras International to Canterbury West in just 54 minutes. Stagecoach and National Express also stop on our campus regularly.
There is lockable bike storage accessible for our guests upon request.
One of the benefits of staying on a university campus is that there is 24/7 security on site. Our Campus Security team is located on our campus, patrol the surrounding area regularly and run 24/7 CCTV of our campus.

We have a wide variety of catering outlets on our campus, from cafés and bars to supermarkets and bistros. With two co-ops and Caffé Nero, you can also enjoy branded refreshments too.
You will need to sign up for a Pay to Play membership in order to visit the Kent Sports Centre or the Sports Pavilion. This can be done easily either online or at the Sports Centre reception.
Once you have purchased the membership, you can book onto a variety of sessions. For instance to visit the gym or join an instructed fitness class, it's £7.50 per session.
You can also book to use one of our sports halls, courts and pitches.
The Gulbenkian Arts Centre is home to our on-site cinema and theatre at Kent. Claim up to 50% off standard and family cinema tickets when you stay at the University of Kent.
