Andrew Newell

A fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Andrew has over thirty years of experience in the financial services sector and has held a variety of roles encompassing, Finance, Treasury, Risk, Audit and Governance. He previously served as Acting Finance Director at a FTSE 100 Company and Finance Director of a Building Society. He also brings over twenty years of Non-Executive Director experience in mutual, private, public and third sector organisations with extensive knowledge of Higher Education governance.
Andrew has served in the University of Kent in various capacities since 2014 and is a continuing Council member. He was the immediate past Deputy Chair of Council and Chair of the Finance and Resources Committee.
Andrew is the Chair of the Council for Dissolution.
