Andrew Newell

About

Andrew has over thirty years of experience in the financial services sector and was Head of Finance – London for Abbey National plc from 2001 to 2005.  Before working for Abbey National, Andrew held substantive posts at the National & Provincial Building Society – Bradford.  Non-executive roles have included as independent member and then Chairman of the Group Audit Committee for The Football Association and as board member for Kent Reliance Building Society/One Savings Bank.  Andrew is currently a trustee of the national homeless charity, Crisis, is Chair of the Independent Monitoring Board of the Heathrow Immigration Removal Centres, is on the board of trustees of the charity, Langley House Trust, and is Chairman of One YMCA based in Watford.
Andrew has been a member of the University of Kent’s Audit committee since 2014 and is also a member of the Remuneration Committee.
