Undergraduate courses

The University of Kent has long been a popular destination for History undergraduates.

The School of History has established itself as one of the leading departments in the country, ranked second in the most recent Research Assessment Exercise and consistently scoring above 90% for student satisfaction in the National Student Survey.

All of our undergraduate programmes are carefully crafted, offering a wide-range of modules and the flexibility to tailor your degree programme to the areas that you are most interested in. There are very few core modules to ensure that you get as much choice as possible and with over 70 undergraduate modules available, our students are spoiled for choice!

The School also offers fantastic student support arrangements, and plenty of opportunities for work experience and study abroad.

In recent years history graduates become celebrated lawyers, press barons, well-known television and newspaper journalists, famous comedians and entertainers, award-winning authors, heads of advisory bodies and charities, directors of major museums, top diplomats and civil servants, chief constables, high ranking officers in the armed forces, and business millionaires.
