New Master’s programme at Kent gains professional accreditation

The MSc Value Chain Management which was launched in September 2009, this week received confirmation that the Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply (CIPS) has awarded a certificate of accreditation. Graduates from this programme who meet the work experience requirements will automatically be eligible for Membership of this professional body.

Kent Business School students and guests find out from Cadbury’s Sustainability Manager just how “purple is going green”.

Kent Business School hosted a hugely successful seminar on Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability on 5th November, in which Sarah Singleton, Sustainability Manager, Cadbury's plc explained to an audience of 300 people of how Cadbury’s use sustainability as a source of competitive advantage, rather than risk avoidance or reputation enhancement.

Professor Paul Phillips, Director- Kent Business School, Keynote at Romanian Conference

Professor Paul Phillips, addressed representatives from the Romanian Government, Industry, Academia and NGO’s on the role of Business Schools in helping to invigorate the Economy.

Dr. Dan Alex Petrovici, Lecturer in Marketing at Kent Business School, received the Diploma for Excellence in research and promotion of the academic partnership between Romania and the UK.

Kent Professors in Top 20 ranking for the most popular article downloads

The Journal of Operational Research Society (JORS) has published the ranking of its most popular article downloads between January and April 2009.  Two KentBusiness School Professors are in the top 20.  Professor Cecilio Mar-Molinero's article "A combined terminal location and ship routing problem" was the fifth most downloaded article and Professor Said Sahli's "Inventory routing problems: a logistical overview" was 18th.
