About

Lisa Walsh is a Chartered Physiotherapist who graduated in 2011 after completing her MSc at the University of Essex. Since then, Lisa has worked for both the NHS, private practice and has gained experience working in a multitude of sports including American football, athletics (covering the World Athletics Championships), netball and hockey. Lisa has worked at Charlton Athletic and was the Lead Physiotherapist for the women’s and girls’ pathway at Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club for five years before joining the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences at the University of Kent in September 2023 where she now lectures on the Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation course.

With a focus on continually improving, Lisa has gained an MSc in Sports Science, a PGDip in Advanced Neuromuscular Physiotherapy, a PGDip in Musculoskeletal Medicine and a PGCert in Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Ultrasound. Prior to becoming a Physio Lisa was a Health Club Manager, ran a Personal Training and Sports Massage business and taught nutrition, anatomy and strength and conditioning courses at Higher Education Colleges. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience treating sports injuries, particularly hip, ankle and knee injuries, with a special research interest in female ACL injuries, tendinopathies and female athlete health and performance parameters.
