UK Parliament's Tom Hyner 'Embracing Equity' at this week's MBA Guest Lecture

Tom Hyner

Our exciting MBA Guest Lecture Series continues this Friday, 10 March 2023, covering the important topics of diversity and inclusion with a focus on women in leadership. This free hybrid event will run from 12.30 until 14.00 (GMT) on Zoom and in-person in the MBA Suite in Sibson, and will include no less than four esteemed guest speakers on our panel, the third being Tom Hyner.

Tom Hyner is currently the Commercial Director at UK Parliament where he is responsible for procurement, contract management and transforming the function. Immediately prior to joining Parliament, he worked for the Department for International Trade where, since 2016, he created and ran the shared commercial function servicing DIT, DExEU, UKEF and the TRA.

During the lecture, Tom will be discussing the importance of diversity in the workplace and in leadership, drawing on his experience of the practical challenges of building high performing, diverse and inclusive teams in different environments.

He has held positions in both the public and private sectors, including at the Big4 and as a small business director, and has extensive commercial and project delivery experience in indirect categories.

Details of the final speaker will be announced later in the week.

This is a free event and is open to all University of Kent MBA students, alumni and the wider business community. Register your place today.
