Year of Study: 3rd Year, BA (Hons) Politics and International Relations

Why I Chose the University of Kent:
What drew me to the University of Kent was the freedom to shape my own learning experience. The wide range of modules, especially in International Relations, gave me the flexibility to tailor my course to my passions and interests. But what makes Kent truly special is the diverse opportunities beyond the classroom. On any given day, you could find me in a K-pop dance session, followed by attending a topical discussion at the Gulbenkian—there’s always something new to discover!

My Favourite Memory at Kent:
One of my fondest memories has to be from my first K-pop dance class. I went alone, unsure of what to expect, but by the end of it, I found myself dancing at the front, feeling more confident than ever. It was a moment of self-assurance I’ll never forget, and it showed me how Kent is a place where you can grow, meet new people, and feel at home no matter where you start.

Why I Joined the Campaign:
As I enter my final year, I’ve realised how much I want to give back to the University of Kent community. I haven’t had the chance to leave my mark yet, and this campaign felt like the perfect opportunity to do so. I love connecting with people, and having experience in customer service and fundraising, I know this is a role where I can thrive. Plus, I’m a natural conversationalist—I believe I can talk to anyone about anything!

Why Fundraising Matters:
Fundraising is vital because it allows us to enhance the educational experience for everyone. Whether it’s supporting research, improving facilities, or offering scholarships and bursaries, it helps make education accessible to students from all walks of life. Your support ensures that Kent remains a diverse, inclusive community, and I’m excited to play a part in that.
