We are also throwing in an introduction to R programming. No more just theory it is time for practical and hands-on sessions. By the end of this journey, you will not just be familiar with digital marketing tools you will be wielding them with finesse. This module introduces you to the principles and applications of data-driven marketing. You will develop practical skills in data visualisation using Excel and SPSS, explore fundamental data mining techniques, and apply content analysis methods. Through hands-on exercises, the module equips you with essential analytical skills for interpreting and applying marketing data. By the end of the module, you will be able to analyse marketing data effectively and use data-driven insights to inform and support online marketing strategies.

Strategies must be developed which include optimising online and store sales, utilising chatbots which can offer human like interactions and integrating artificial intelligence to all business functions.

The Marketing Project module connects students to organisational case studies and challenges them via a student consultancy experience. Students will be working in small teams on a company problem presented to them their task will be to pitch a solution to the organization. Students will practice consulting, team-work, communication and self-reflection skills as part of this module.

A minimum of a second-class UK degree, or an equivalent internationally recognised qualification in any subject area is needed for this course. We particularly encourage applicants from a marketing, business or management background.
All applicants are considered on an individual basis and those without an honours degree may also be considered on the basis of work experience, professional qualifications and the relevance of the programme to their current professional role.

The 2027/28 annual tuition fees for UK postgraduate research courses have not yet been set by the Research Councils UK. This is ordinarily announced in March. As a guide only, the full-time tuition fee for new and returning UK postgraduate research courses for 2026/27 is £5,238.
