Carbon, energy, and water

Saving water

Water is a resource and is essential for life. Some ideas on water saving to minimise our usage are detailed below.

Dripping taps

How much water does this waste?

  • A slowly dripping tap wastes 66,000 litres or £112/year.
  • A fast dripping tap wastes 175,00 litres or £300/year.
  • A tap left on wastes 13,000 litres or £22/day (£8,000/year).
