Innovative Models and Practice in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Conference 2017
The Tizard Centre will be holding a forum looking at Innovative Models and Practice in IDD on Saturday 2 September 2017 from 09:30- 16:15 hours.
This will include:
- a whole range of talks and sessions for people to participate in
- a short film from Square Pegs Kent "This is Me". Square Pegs is a drama group set up to develop communication and social skills building self-esteem and confidence for those with a learning disability or social communication difficulties
- and time to network with like minded people
- Professor Rachel Forrester-Jones (Director) and Prof Julie Beadle-Brown will be giving their professorial inaugural talks
Parallel sessions will include:

Dr Paraskevi Triantafyllopoulou - Health care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Dr Ciara Padden - Applied behaviour analysis
Tony Osgood - Challenging behaviour
Dr Peter Baker - Positive behaviour support
Prof Peter McGill - Capable environments
Dr Peter Langdon - Psychological interventions for offenders with intellectual disabilities
Dr Jill Bradshaw - Communication
Dr David Oliver - Palliative care
