World Mental Health Day

The University of Kent is celebrating World Mental Health Day (Wednesday 10th October 2018) with a week’s worth of events on the Canterbury and Medway campuses – more detailed programme coming soon. We are also pleased to announce that we are working in collaboration with Christ Church University on some joint activity in the Canterbury city centre.

  • Thursday 11th October 13:10 – 14:00 Cornwallis Central Lecture Theatre 1 Understanding Mental Health Difficulties Bite Size Talk by Kate Pitchforth for Kent staff only – an overview of some of the mental health difficulties experienced by students at University, support offered by the Wellbeing Team, advice for staff assisting students and for their own self-care
  • Thursday 11th October, 6pm Grimond Lecture Theatre 3 Free film night hosted by the University of Kent and Pilgrims Hospice ‘A ghost story’, exploring themes of loss and grief, followed by discussion Book Here for Free Ticket - Flyer (PDF)
