Research interests

Glen’s current interests focus on Nutrition and Exercise Immunology, specifically Immune System Function in athletes and how the human immune system responds to prolonged (endurance) exercise, and the role of nutrition.

Glen is particularly interested in:

  • The effects of nutrition on human immune function, physiological adaptation, and risk of upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) symptoms after exercise.
  • The effects of acute/short-term supplementation with commercially available supplements.
  • Effects of exercise and nutrition on gastrointestinal integrity
  • Variability in responses to caffeine
  • Exercise in people with Parkinson's Disease
