The University of Kent has a scholarship fund of over £11 million to support our taught and research students including funding from the UK Research Councils, subject and location-specific scholarships, philanthropic awards and discounts and scholarships for Kent alumni.
The funding links and pages below give more information about specific awards and the Scholarships Finder database allows you to make key word searches. In addition we recommend you check with the relevant Europe and centre or academic schools in case they have any additional information.

UK Research Councils
The UK Research Councils support postgraduate training and research through the awarding of valuable scholarships.
In general, Research Council scholarships provide UK candidates with tuition fees award plus a maintenance grant. For the 2017/18 academic year the standard maintenance grant was £14,553.
EU residents (non-UK) can apply for tuition fee only awards. Non-EU residents are not eligible to apply.
These awards are highly competitive and candidates must apply via the University and meet strict deadlines; details of which are published on the relevant scholarship page.
