Medway is a place steeped in history, yet always looking forward. Our Medway campus is the ideal place to start your student journey.
Haven’t visited Medway before? Don’t worry, we’re easy to find and just as easy to get to!
Medway is located in Kent in the South East of the UK. London is around 40–50 minutes away by train, making it quick and easy to travel into the capital.
Medway also has good access to major airports. Gatwick Airport is about 45–60 minutes by car or around 1 hour 30 minutes by train, while Heathrow Airport is roughly 1 hour 30 minutes by car or around 2 hours by train.
The towns of Chatham, Gillingham, and Rochester are developing vibrant arts and cultural scenes. At the same time, the surrounding countryside and coastline offer plenty of space to relax and explore, giving you the best of both worlds.
I was born in The Philippines and grew up in Dubai before moving to the UK to study. The Medway campus has been my second home for the past year. It has been exciting to immerse myself into the rich history of the area. Medway campus might be small, but it’s big in character and close-knit charm!
With new developments across the region bringing excitement and opportunities, there is so much to see and do.
Medway is home to three universities, we are creating a hub of new ideas in a historic region full of potential - join us and get involved!

Our Medway campus is a dynamic and exciting community. Home to us, the University of Greenwich and Canterbury Christ Church University, known collectively as the Universities at Medway. The social spaces on campus are used by all students so you get to meet an even wider range of people. As a Kent student at Medway you become a member of The Hub and Kent Union.
Hear from some of our students, and members of our collaborative community about their time at Medway and why Kent was the right choice for them.
