Our commitment to you

If you take part in one of our Prepare for Journalism days, and choose Journalism at Kent as your firm choice on UCAS we will accept you at two grades below the offer you have been made (up to a maximum of 16 UCAS points).

For example, if you are made an offer requiring BBB at A level, under our Prepare for Journalism commitment, we will accept you with grades of BCC when A level results are released (please note, your initial offer will not change).

If you’re studying a qualification that doesn’t attract UCAS points, we will take your participation in Prepare for Journalism days into consideration should you narrowly miss the conditions of your offer.

Offer holders based outside of the UK

Our in person Prepare for Journalism Days are open to offer holders from anywhere in the world, and if you intend to visit the UK before starting at university we happily encourage you join us for a Prepare for Journalism Day. However, we recognise that this may not be possible for everyone, and contact offer holders who are based outside of the UK to offer a one to one virtual appointment with an academic member of staff, with many of the same benefits as the Prepare for Journalism Day.
