Planning your short-term study journey

Ready to study at Kent for a term, two terms or a full academic year? We're here to guide you through the application process.

Before you apply, make sure you've explored your study options and chosen the modules you'd like to take during your time at Kent.

Check your eligiblity

You may be eligible for Short-term Study at Kent if you:

  • meet the academic requirements for your chosen programme of study
  • meet Kent's English language requirements, where applicable. Please see our English Language Requirements for details of approved tests and grade requirements.

How will I apply?

Through a partnership agreement

If your university has a partnership agreement with the University of Kent, please liaise directly with your university's study abroad or international office when applying.

We can only accept applications for our short-term programmes from students who have been formally nominated by their home university.

As a direct applicant

If your university does not currently have an agreement with Kent, we also consider direct applications.

Please note that it is your responsibility to discuss credit transfer arrangements with your home institution and ensure that any credits gained at Kent can be recognised as part of your degree.

Not sure whether your university has a partnership agreement with Kent? Contact our International Partnerships team for advice.
