International Foundation Programme

Take your first step towards your Kent degree

What is the International Foundation Programme?

Our International Foundation Programme (IFP) is a one-year full-time course designed to prepare you for undergraduate study in the UK. It is ideal if you have excellent high school grades but have not completed a suitable qualification or achieved grades that allow you to apply for direct entry to a UK university. You might also need additional language support, which we provide if required. For details of entry requirements to the IFP, please see IFP entry requirements

Join one of our information sessions  for more details.

Guaranteed progression to degree programmes

We  offer guaranteed progression to over 300 degree programmes at Kent. Providing you meet the progression requirements for your chosen degree, you can begin your degree studies without needing to make a UCAS application to the University. In 2020, 91% of our students progressed onto Kent degree programmes. Visit our course pages to find out more about the degree you are interested in and the progression requirements from the IFP.

Progression routes

Our IFP provides access to honours degrees in the following subjects. All progression routes are available on our Autumn-start IFP (September) and those marked with * are also available on our  Spring-start IFP (Jan/Feb). Click on the subject area to see the honours degrees available.

You can find the progression requirements from the IFP under Entry Requirements on each individual degree course page.
