Create Café at the University of Kent

Create Café

Create Café, the popular grab-and-go café located on the ground floor of the Marlowe Building, reopened on 9 June 2026 following a refurbishment. The refreshed café will continue to serve the University of Kent community with a familiar and expanded range, including jacket potatoes, freshly prepared paninis, pastries, barista coffee and a variety of grab-and-go options.

Newly refurbished June 2026

New to the menu this year, Create Café offers vegetable salad pots as part of the university’s Right to Food commitment, offering students and staff a healthy, affordable option on campus.

Create Café serves Social Impact Coffee, a purpose-driven coffee brand that donates 65% of its profits to Canterbury Food Bank. In partnership with the University of Kent’s Right to Food initiative, every cup purchased will help support the Canterbury Food Bank and the wider community.

In response to popular demand, jacket potatoes have also returned to the café menu, a much-loved staple that students and staff have been calling for.
