Celebrating academics' achievement

Congratulations to a record number of lecturing staff who completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education in 2007.   96 full-time and part-time teaching staff were awarded the PGCHE.  This is a tribute to their hard work and to the support of academic departments.  It shows everyone's commitment to professional development and teaching generally.

The Unit for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching hosted a reception on Thursday 31st January to mark the occasion, and it was a pleasure that so many colleagues were able to join us to celebrate their success.    Chief among these were, of  course, the staff who completed the course but also the Head of UELT, Dr Louise Naylor, current Academic Practice Team members, Professor Peter Clarkson and two recently retired colleagues: Andrea Nicholson and Richard Norman.  We recognise that the PGCHE makes demands on all involved and were delighted at the success of so many.
