PGCHE

Committees

Academic management of the PGCHE and ATAP programmes is exercised by:

Staff/Student Liaison Committee:

Chaired by a PGCHE tutor/module convenor and includes the Programme Administrator and student representatives.

Graduate Studies Committee (formerly Learning & Teaching Committee):

Chaired by the Director of Graduate Studies, and includes Faculty Directors of Learning and Teaching, the programme team, student representatives and the Head of UELT.

PGCHE Board of Examiners:

Chaired by the Chief Examiner, and includes the external examiner and internal examiners. The Board meets twice a year, normally during June and November. The Board reviews the progress of all students on the PGCHE and ATAP programmes and also confirms awards.

Concessions Committee:

Chaired by the Chief Examiner, and includes members of the programme team. The Board meets shortly before each Board of Examiners as well as throughout the year as required, and reviews cases where a request for further time to complete assessed work has been made. These cases are made by the individual student using the Concessions Form. Please note that a request for an extension is not automatically granted and it is your responsibility to submit assessed work by the agreed deadlines.

Learning & Teaching Committee: (Disbanded)

Was chaired by the Director of Learning and Teaching, and included representatives from all three Faculties, the programme team, student representatives and the Head of UELT. This committee was replaced by the Graduate Studies Committee in 2010.
