Inspiring Teaching Cutting-Edge Research
Sean joined the School in 2009 to write his PhD thesis on comparative politics and federalism. Originally from the germanophone part of Switzerland, he graduated at the bilingual Université de Fribourg, with an Erasmus exchange year in Rome. He then worked at the Institute of Federalism in Fribourg for two years, organising study tours to Switzerland for foreign dignitaries and researching cantonal politics. Before coming to Canterbury, he was lecturing politics at several universities in Tbilisi/Georgia and briefly worked as an intern at the Agricultural Department of Canton Glarus. Hobby: football.
