Sören Keil joined the School in 2005 to do an MA in International Relations, for which he was awarded a Distinction, and continued as a research student on the MPhil/PhD programme in International Relations. In 2006-2007 he worked for various NGOs and think tanks in Brussels, gaining a very good understanding of European Union politics in the process.

Research Interests

Sören’s PhD thesis examines "Multinational Federalism in Bosnia and Herzegovina". His research interests therefore focus on federalism as a tool in multinational societies, the political systems of the Western Balkans and European Union enlargement. He is also interested in the European Union's integration process, its constitutional debates and the foreign policy of the Union.
