Soeren Keil first came to Kent in 2005 to complete a Master's degree in International Relations, which he finished in 2006 with distinction. He then stayed on for doctoral research, completing his thesis in May 2010 and successfully defending it in June 2010.
Soeren's research interests include the political systems of the Western Balkan countries in particular the successor states of the former Yugoslavia. He is also interested in the European integration process and has worked on EU foreign policy and EU enlargement policy.
