Making connections/ Impacting futures
Using social media is a great way to stay in touch and have your say. Why not start to make connections with Kent Business School’s social media networks in order to make new friends and find out what is going on in and around the School? Find out what current students are doing, what to expect as a student here at Kent Business School from all around the world through our Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, You Tube and FlickR social media websites.
Once you have made your connection with the School, you will be able to build up your networks and knowledge, even before your arrive at the School, so you will already have some friends and colleagues to share your thoughts, experiences and student concerns with. These networking sites offer great support to new and prospective students throughout their student life and beyond.
Facebook allows group members to ‘meet’ in a virtual online forum informally with other members, receive regular updates from the School and other members as well as post their views and comments. We currently have 4 separate Facebook accounts that attract different groups:
There are student comments, requests and questions, information on global University Fairs, forums and receptions, School updates and information, links to articles and newsletters, course and programme updates, messages from key staff including the Schools Director as well as a unique chance to meet other students on your course before you even start.

We have 3 Linked In groups, each dedicate to a different audience group, which is a more formal forum than Facebook, and provides more than just instant messages such as Twitter. This is often used from a more business perspective.
You can read about key international visits, presentations and speeches or take part in informative ‘discussions’, areas for your business consideration as well as real and relevant online networking opportunities. Look for friends and peers online and reconnect with them, as well as businesses, organisations and group. Take part in research, surveys and even answer questions to stay in touch, progress your success and share knowledge, or simply just tell us your views.
