Call for Papers - Marine Tourism in Less Developed Countries

One day workshop

Date: Wednesday 2 March 2011


This one day workshop will be held at the University of Kent in Canterbury on Wednesday 2nd March 2011 and will focus on all aspects of marine tourism in Less Developed Countries. The organisers welcome papers on dive tourism, wildlife watching tours, sailing, kayaking, surfing, etc. in locations in Less Developed Countries on environmental, social and economic impacts as well as policy and planning issues.

The workshop will consist of a mixture of presentations and roundtable sessions following key themes. It is a unique opportunity to meet with other researchers and practitioners in the field to discuss the many strategic and operational
challenges facing the marine tourism sector in developing countries.
