Centre for Tourism in Islands and Coastal Areas- CENTICA

 

CENTICA is involved in active partnership with several international organisations.

  • Coastal area imageTourism Planning Research Group, UTM.
    We have a strategic partnership with the TPRG of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) who are based in Johor Bahru.
  • PATA - the Pacific Asia Travel Association.
    CENTICA, under the aspices of Kent Business School, is an institutional member of PATA which is the premier travel industry organisation for the region. Pacific Asia has the fastest growth rate of international tourism arrivals in the world.
  • ATLAS - the Assocation for Tourism and Leisure Education.
    Kent Business School is a member of this expert association of institutions involved in teaching and researching tourism.


CENTICA has also joined three islands networks as partners:

  • GIN - Global Islands Network
  • SIDSNET - UN Small Island Developing States Network
  • ISISA - International Small Islands Studies Association

In addition to our permanent staff in Kent Business School and elsewhere at the University of Kent, CENTICA can draw upon a top level international group of academics and practitioners to advise on research and consultancy projects and form specific expert teams for particular projects.
