Our menu changes daily, so there’s always something new, nutritious, and delicious to enjoy.

The Savour Range – Budget-Friendly Meals at Rutherford

At Rutherford Dining Hall, you’ll find our Savour Range, tasty, filling meals designed to support the cost of living without compromising on quality.

Every day, Monday - Sunday, we offer two freshly prepared dishes for you to choose from. Start with a great-value base meal for just £3.50, then customise it your way with extra protein, vegetables, or sides to suit your appetite.

Delicious, affordable, and customisable – it’s food that fits both your budget and your day.

If you’re after something quick, our Grab & Go range has you covered with sandwich meal deals, pasta pots, overnight oats, salads, fruit, snacks, and sweet treats.

Global flavours

As well as the Savour Range, Rutherford Dining Hall offers the chance to mix it up with our global street-food inspired offers:

  • Caribbean – A selection of Caribbean foods including Jerk Chicken, Sweet Potato and Vegetable Curry, Rice and Peas in a bowl, for £6.95 Available 9-27 February
  • Baba Thali – Authentic Indian flavours where you can create your own bowl or wrap for £5.95. Available 2-20 March
  • Mexican Burritos – Packed with flavour and fully customisable for £5.95. Available 23 March - 17 April

Beans Campaign Cooking Demo

Join us at The Social Kitchen on for a special interactive cooking demo as part of the University of Kent’s Beans Campaign!

Our Executive Chef, Gareth Cox, will be leading a hands on free to attend session designed to show just how easy, affordable and delicious bean based meals can be.

When: Thursday 5 March, 4-5 PM

Price: Free to attend!
Open to: All students

During the session, you’ll:

  • Watch two simple and flavourful bean recipes being created step by step
  • Learn practical cooking skills and nutrition tips you can use at home
  • Enjoy free tasters and take-away recipe cards
  • Vote for your favourite dish! Your choice could become the next addition to the Savour Range on campus at Rutherford Dining Hall
