  • 2011 graduate Kate Curry has been offered a “creatives” post at M-is (M-integrated solutions) in London. M-is are an international creative agency currently working on a number of Olympic projects.
  • 2011 graduate Sophie Clarke is off to Orlando to work at Disney’s Epcot Theme Park working on the Cultural Representatives Programme.
  • This month 2010 graduate Chris Carr’s company Lucid Illusions are staging the Aurora Dance Festival in Greece. Chris won the commission to design and build the stage for the festival with a stunning design proposal. He has been training current students Charlie Johnson and Hannah Hand and after the construction phase in the UK they are travelling to Greece as part of the team to construct and manage the stage during the festival.
  • 2010 graduate Charlotte Cook has formed her own company with artist Ciaran McKay called Sparky Initiative. They were commissioned to design and produce “Illumination Performance Parade”, the opening event the for the Fuse Festival (Medway’s Street Arts Festival) in June. They also ran workshops devising costumes and performances with schools and community groups leading up to the grand parade. 2011 graduate Kerri Layton choreographed the parade and performances while another 2011 graduate, Charlotte Perry, operated large scale puppets with current students Chris Wyatt, Charlie Johnson, Hannah Hand and Katie Tompkins. Chris was also involved in the workshops leading up to the parade.
  • 2009 graduates Liz O’Byrne and Emily Owen formed Big Bubble earlier this year to design and create bespoke creative solutions that bring to life Events, Festivals, Brands or Experiences. They were also given a SPARK Commission by the Fuse Festival, an award made to talented artists to give them an opportunity to explore new ways of working. This enabled Liz and Emily to devise an interactive street performance called “Smile” and present the piece at the festival. Current student Sunita Sagoo also worked as a production assistant on the show.
