BA (Hons) Experience Design

New for 2010

Details
On this course you will develop the creative, intellectual and craft skills required to  design experiences and environments; places that tell stories.  Theme parks, heritage experiences, visitor attractions, living and interactive museums, brand events and experiences all deliver escapism, interaction, immersion and often education; and all these experiences require careful and creative design founded on imagination, technical skills, research and development.  These experiences, in the leisure, retail and cultural sectors are part of large and growing industry, one with a range of exciting career prospects.

Where is it taught?
The programme is based in dedicated studios on the Historic Dockyard at Chatham Maritime (a few minutes walk from the full facilities of the Medway Campus).  Students have a dedicated design studio as well as access to the production and lighting workshops used by Creative Events students.   The Historic Dockyard itself is an extensive visitor attraction, and you will often make use of the facilities both for case studies and project work; the site has a range of extraordinary buildings as well as museums, ships and a submarine; a unique location for a unique degree.
