Our graduates work in a wide variety of roles related to creative event design and management.  Corporate career choices have included PR, advertising, marketing and the heritage industry.  Many work on a freelance basis in roles as diverse as pyrotechnician and production manager.  Others have set up their own events’ companies

Students have also taken post graduate teaching qualifications and now teach IT and Art and Design and we have a graduate employee in banking.

Here are some brief case studies:

EC Square - Hong Kong

Charlotte Lam (2011) works full-time for the EC Square PR & Events company in Hong Kong as a Creative PR & Event Executive, currently creating a Fashion Event + Art exhibition for Louis Vuitton in Macau.

Closer - London

Amber Swan-Hutton (2011) won a place on on full-time intern scholarship programme as a creative for Closer, a live media experiential marketing agency (winner of the 2009 Experiential Agency). Clients include Adidas, Transport For London & Panasonic.

The Sparky Initiative - Medway

Charlie Cook (2010) has formed her own event company – The Sparky Initiative - with artist Ciaran McKay. Events include Medway Fuse Festival and a community project involving puppetry workshops in local schools..

Walk the Plank - Salford

Heike Lohse (2010), works as a freelance pyrotechnician and artist on large scale outdoor shows. She currently works with Walk the Plank a creative force of artists, theatre makers, pyrotechnicians, and event engineers based in the North West of England.

Nexus-H - Tunbridge Wells

Laura Welfare (2010) works as an account manager for an award-winning, integrated advertising agency Nexus-H, based in Tunbridge Wells. She has helped organize campaigns and events across Europe for clients including Suzuki, Sharp, Honda, Hitachi and Vogue.

Lucid Illusions - Canterbury

Chris Carr (2010) set up his own event design company, Lucid Illusions, before he graduated. His company creates and produces a variety of live outdoor events including a large music festival (The Aurora Festival) in Greece this summer.

Get Elastic - London

Dave Moore (2010) joined corporate event company, Get Elastic, as a production manager, immediately after graduating. Projects include the Grolsch Barge, the Gillette Festival, and the Secret Cinema.

The World Famous - Kent

Liz O'Byrne (2009) has worked continuously with The World Famous, a company of creative pyrotechnicians with a passion for playing with fire that create shows that combine pyrotechnics with performance, music, lighting and projection.
