Disability History at Kent: Our Stories - Exhibition & Short Film Screening

Drinks reception, exhibition viewing and short film screening for Disability History Month at Kent

Join us any time from 5pm to immerse yourself in an exhibition which showcases the history of disability provision and communication from the first cohort of students and staff at the University of Kent, to the present day.

Take your time to wander around the exhibition with others while having some wine or soft drinks, and then head into the Marlowe Lecture Theatre round the corner from the exhibition at 6pm to watch a collection of short films featuring current and past students and staff on their experiences of disability. The films will last less than 30 minutes, and are all captioned and signed in British Sign Language. Refreshments will be available from 17:00 until 19:00.

5-6pm: Exhibition viewing in Marlowe Building Foyer, refreshments available

6pm-6.30pm: Film shorts screening in Marlowe Lecture Theatre 1

Exhibition objects will have audio description; and BSL videos will be played for the welcome and introduction at the event.
