Dr Alfred Kume

About

Fred worked as an actuary for two years and then entered the academic world of Statistics with a PhD and a Postdoc role at the University of Nottingham. 
He has been teaching at Kent since 2004 and throughout that time has been involved in the examining process of the Institute of Actuaries.

  • Directional statistics
  • Image analysis
  • Stochastic geometry

Supervision

  • Theodoros Gkolias - statistical shape analysis, Bayesian statistics and MCMC.
  • Justyn Campbell-White (jointly with Dr Dirk Froebrich) - statistical shape analysis of molecular clouds
