The Barbara Harris Scholarship

This scholarship consists of a £1,000 annual stipend (full-time rate), for up to 3 years of the awardee's course, paid directly to the awardee in three instalments throughout each year.

Funding for more than 3 years and in addition to other scholarships/bursaries will be exceptional and must be approved by the selection panel.

Applicants for this scholarship must meet all of the criteria below:

• Be a UK Home student
• Have achieved at least 2 A grades and 1 B grade at A Level (or equivalent)
• Have attended a state school within the county of Kent
• Live within East Kent postcodes CT1 to CT21 (inclusive), or CT50
• Have applied to the Accounting and Finance BSc (Hons) course at Kent
• Have submitted a supporting statement outlining their need for the scholarship as part of the scholarship application

The Barbara Harris Scholarship is open to applicants on the Accounting and Finance BSc (Hons) course within the Kent Business School.

For the 2026/2027 academic year, up to 3 scholarships will be awarded, depending on the applicants' suitability which will be assessed by a selection panel.
