Investing in partnerships, sharing spaces, driving innovation.
UKRI’s Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) scheme is enabling us to invest in people and partnerships, enhance access to our spaces and support research and innovation at all levels in the arts and humanities, biotechnology and biological sciences, and medicine and healthcare.
Our Impact Acceleration Accounts are enabling us to flexibly support projects with funding from three UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Research Councils:
Enabling Kent researchers to foster collaborative partnerships to drive change in three focus areas: health and wellbeing, histories and heritage, and society and environment.
Building on Kent's strong foundation in biomedical and clinical research to accelerate the translation of early discovery research to products and services which improve patients' lives.
Driving a step change in the activity, impact and success of Kent's applied research pipeline to turn our portfolio of biotechnology and biomedical research into industry solutions.
the business community
Providing funding for collaborative innovation is one thing, but it is events like this which accelerate innovation by providing a space for us to identify industry challenges and opportunities, and the research outcomes which can help us respond to them.
Early Career Researchers
With funding ringfenced for early career researchers, the workshop provided ECRs with the opportunity to ask questions about the application process and consider how they might use the funds to accelerate their research.
