Leading experts in offending behaviour programmes have taken part in a conference organised by the University.

Professor Theresa Gannon and Dr Nichola Tyler (pictured below), of the University’s School of Psychology, provided the keynote speeches at the event on 6 September, held at the University’s Canterbury campus. Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Karen Cox introduced the conference to attendees.

Nearly 200 experts and policy makers were in attendance from Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service, the NHS, the Fire Service, and the Police. There was also representation from Parliament.

Professor Gannon is one of the UK’s leading experts on sexual offending. She has also developed standardised treatment programmes for offenders who have set fires.
