Kent launches COVID-19 business recovery response webinar series

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kent’s business and innovation gateway team is hosting a number of free webinars to help support business recovery in Kent and Medway.

Kent Innovation and Enterprise (KIE) will provide expert advice through these online sessions in collaboration with a number of academic schools across the University, helping businesses to recuperate and facilitate business growth.

The first webinar, E-commerce, how to enter the virtual retail world, will be held on 30 June 2020. Hosted by Jason Marshall, Business Manager of Kent IT Consultancy (KITC) at the School of Computing, this event will guide participants through the process of setting-up an e-commerce platform and provide strategies to maximise sales potential.

Never Waste a Good Crisis: (Re)Imagining tourism in Kent – hosted by Dr Juliane Thieme of Kent Business School, followed by a 30-minute Q&A with Deirdre Wells OBE, CEO of Visit Kent – 23 July 2020

Translating Culture Online – hosted by Dr Frances GuerinDr Ben Thomas and Dr Sophie Quirk of the School of Arts, and joined by Deirdre Wells OBE, CEO of Visit Kent – 28 July 2020

Backup or Packup (Precautions against ransomware attacks) – hosted by Dr Sanjay Bhattacherjee of the School of Computing – 31 July 2020
