Kang joined the University of Kent as a Research Associate in Statistics in 2023. He earned his Ph.D. from the School of Mathematical Sciences at Capital Normal University, Beijing, China, where he studied from 2019 to 2023. His doctoral thesis focused on "Research on Robust Model Averaging".
