About the Marc Fitch Fund

The Marc Fitch Fund is an educational charity established in 1956 by Marc Fitch (1908-1994) with a focus on providing small grants towards the costs of publishing scholarly work in the fields of history, archaeology, antiquarian studies and heritage. It is governed by a Council of Management who also serve as the charity’s trustees. From time to time the Fund considers applications for special projects, such as conservation, digitisation or cataloguing projects.

In 1975 the Leopard’s Head Press was established to publish the results of research projects that were financed by the Marc Fitch Fund.
