A collection of artists' books made by a number of artists originally for the exhibition 'Prescriptions' at the Beaney House of Art & Knowledge in Canterbury between April and September 2016.

The exhibition 'Prescriptions' was on show at the Beaney House of Art & Knowledge, between 21 April and 25 September 2016. The exhibition presented artists' books by the American book artist Martha Hall, which she created from 1998 until her death in 2003, and which document her experiences with breast cancer and her interactions with the medical community. The Prescriptions exhibition also included artists’ books by national and international artists with them responding to themes of art and wellbeing. The exhibition was curated by Dr Stella Bolaki and Egidija Čiricaitė. Please see the associated webpage Artists' Books and the Medical Humanities for more information.
