Dr Michael Asiedu Gyensare

Director of Studies (DoS) for MSc Human Resource Management.

Dr Michael Gyensare is a Lecturer in Management. Michael joined Kent Business School in 2024 after completing his PhD in Management at Edith Cowan University (AACBS) in Australia. Prior to joining the University of Kent, which is triple accredited by EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA, he was a Lecturer in Business Administration at the University of Education Winneba and Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Applied Management, Ghana Campus. Michael holds MPhil in Business Administration (Human Resource Management) from the University of Ghana Business School.

Michael’s research interests are in the areas of strategic HRM/OB-related themes, innovation, ambidextrous strategic orientation, business failure and entrepreneurial learning, cross-cultural adjustment of international assignees, and internationalisation of SMEs from emerging markets. He has published in these areas and other interdisciplinary research themes.

Michael is the current convenor for two  undergraduate core modules – Strategic Human Resource Management and Strategic Management – for the Autumn semester.
