Yilmaz Yildiz is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at Kent Business School, University of Kent.
Yilmaz joined Kent Business School as a Senior Lecturer in Finance in January 2023. Previously, he worked as a senior lecturer at Huddersfield Business School (2019 to 2022).
Yilmaz holds a PhD in Finance from Hacettepe University, Turkey (2016).

Research interests

Yilmaz’s main research interests lie in the field of corporate finance including corporate governance, ownership structure, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility. He has a growing interest on the impact of climate risk on corporate performance as well as corporate financial decisions.
He has published in journals such as the Journal of Corporate Finance, British Journal of Management, Journal of Financial Research, European Journal of Finance, World Development, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Applied Economics, and Business Strategy and Environment. 

Teaching

Yilmaz has taught several modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels such as Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Investment and Portfolio Management, Finance with Excel, and Research Methods.
