Kent English language test

The University of Kent is proud to have teamed up with English Password Test to offer an online exam which covers Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking components.

Who can take the test?

You must have an offer of a place on a Pre-Sessional, Undergraduate, Postgraduate Taught or Research programme. A condition of your offer should be an English language qualification.

Can I use the English Language test to apply for a Tier 4 visa?

The Password test will only be recognised for UK visa and immigration purposes for students who have applied for a course at degree level or above. If you are applying for a course below degree level, you must complete a Secure English Language Test (SELT) to be able to obtain a visa.

How much is the test?

At the moment it is free of charge to University of Kent offer holders.

Can I practise the test?

Yes, there is information about the test here and when you receive confirmation of your test we will send you a code. This is the code you need on the day of your test and it will also give you access to a practice test.
