Support music-making at Kent

Melody Brooks playing the violin

Students from all subjects can participate in our flourishing programme of music-making, and by supporting scholarships you can encourage further excellence and development in extra-curricular music performance.

As well as the many concerts in the award-winning Colyer-Fergusson Hall, there are also opportunities to perform in other venues, including the spectacular surroundings of Canterbury Cathedral and other historic and exciting spaces around the region.

Melody, smiling at the camera and holding a violin

Gaining the scholarship this year led me to achieve a dream I didn’t even know I had: leading the Symphony Orchestra. My predecessors were so brilliant, and the thought of filling their shoes was daunting. It was an honour!
