UCAS Extra 2025

What is UCAS Extra? (And how does it work?)

UCAS Extra is another chance for you to gain a place at university or college, between 26 February and 4 July 2025. If you used all five of your choices on your original application and you’re not holding an offer, you’ll be able to add another choice using Extra.

How does UCAS Extra work?

If you have used all five of your choices, and you haven't received an offer - or declined your offers, UCAS Extra is a way to secure your place at University in September

UCAS Extra allows you to have a sixth choice. This gives you an extra opportunity to apply to a university or course that you didn't already apply for.
